Speak With Confidence: A 5-Week Student Series
A 5-week introductory series for students who want to become more comfortable speaking in front of others.
This small-group series gives students a chance to explore different aspects of public speaking in a supportive, low-pressure environment.
Each week introduces a specific speaking skill and gives students opportunities to try it, practice it, and receive simple feedback. The emphasis is on exposure and practical tools rather than perfection.
Weekly Workshops
Workshop 1 — Speak With Confidence
Explore what confidence can look and sound like, learn simple strategies for managing nerves, and practice speaking in short, low-pressure activities.
Workshop 2 — How to Give a Great Presentation
Learn how to organize ideas, create a clear beginning and ending, and make a presentation easier for an audience to follow.
Workshop 3 — Voice, Body Language & Presence
Explore how volume, pace, tone, posture, eye contact, and gestures can affect how a speaker comes across.
Workshop 4 — Storytelling & Persuasion
Learn introductory storytelling techniques and explore how speakers can use examples, structure, and emotion to make an idea more engaging and memorable.
Workshop 5 — Interview & Professional Communication
Practice introducing yourself, answering common interview-style questions, communicating clearly, and making a positive first impression.
What Students Leave With
This series isn't designed to completely transform a student's confidence or make them an experienced public speaker in five weeks.
Instead, students get a taste of several important speaking skills, along with practical strategies they can continue experimenting with at school, in interviews, presentations, group discussions, and everyday situations.
The goal is to help students become a little more aware, a little more prepared, and a little more comfortable speaking up — while giving them a positive opportunity to practice.
